Judy A. Rice, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Born on February 25, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana she was the daughter of Howard and Sylvia (Drummond) Stiles. She attended West High School in Plymouth, graduating with the class of 1961. On July 6, 1963 she married Everett Rice in Plymouth.
Judy was known as “super grandma,” always spoiling and taking care of her grandchildren. She worked for Wagner Wire in production and finally Tractor Supply Company as a cashier for 13 years until she retired in 2008. Judy loved to go camping. Everett and Judy raised rabbits for years often being very involved with the Marshall County 4-H. Elvis was her crush and she would regularly attend Elvis conventions. She finally made it to Graceland and told her family that she could finally die happy.
She is survived by her sons: Jeff (Ronda) Rice of Argos; Tim (Brenda) Rice of Nappanee; sister Carol (Bruce) Gerhart of Plymouth; granddaughters: Robin, Sydney and Ashton; great-granddaughters: Gracie Ganshorn, Kimberly McCartney and Autumn McCartney.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett, brothers: Paul Stiles, Charles Stiles and Harold Stiles.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11:15 am in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.
