Kathryn B. (Mrs. Ray) Mansfield of Plymouth, passed away Friday, November 1st as a result of a two vehicle accident south of Plymouth.
The daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Alma Robertson Mason, Kathryn was born in Waynesville, Indiana on November 22, 1936.
On May 3, 1955, Kathryn married Henry “Hank” Ray Mansfield. The couple moved to the Plymouth area in 1961.
Katie worked for R.R. Donnelly in Warsaw for 17 years before her retirement in 1997. She then worked for several years at the Holiday Inn Express, helping serve breakfast.
She was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles. She enjoyed cooking/baking for her family & friends. She was always willing to help others & she loved to travel.
Katie is survived by her mother, Alma Hartwell, and her siblings: Sarah (Andrew) Waltz of Paris, IL, Bill Hill of Columbus, IN, Carl Hartwell (Pamela Davidson) of Seymour, IN and Floyd (Debra) Hartwell of Rochester, IN. She has several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Orville E. Brooking and Benjamin Harrison Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Marshall Co, PO Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563.
