Kathy S. Beutel-Galloway

May 5, 1958 — February 1, 2025

Bremen

Kathy Beutel Galloway, born May 5, 1958, to Chuck and Carol Beutel, passed away February 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength. She was the most loving, devoted, humble, private, protective, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt.

As the owner of the Wooden Peel in Bremen, Indiana, Kathy touched countless lives through her warm hospitality and unwavering kindness. She not only nourished her patrons with her meals but also with her generosity often covering the cost for families in need, embodying the true spirit of giving.

Beyond the doors of WP, Kathy found peace and joy in her flower gardens, where she cultivated beauty with the same devotion she showed to her loved ones. Her deep love for animals was immeasurable, and those lucky enough to be in her care held a special place in her heart. Without a doubt, her beloved pets were there to greet her at heavens gates.

Kathys wisdom, kindness, and unmistakable sense of humor will be profoundly missed. She had a way of making those around her think twice sometimes with a simple look, sometimes with her signature sarcasm (“its different”) but always with love.

She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick (Jake) Galloway, her daughter, Shannon (Lee) Floran, granddaughter, Saylor (Tyler) Carrico, grandson, Joey Bailey, great-grandson, Harrison Carrico; and her brother, Todd (Robin) Beutel. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

As per Kathys wishes, a celebration of life will be held in May. In her honor, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local animal shelter or, most importantly, that you spend time with your loved ones. Hold no grudges, give when you can, and always love unconditionally just as Kathy did.
