Kenneth R. Wilson, 44, a lifetime area resident, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a two year battle with heart problems and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The son of Donald K. and Marsha M. (Ellinger) Wilson, Ken was born on July 26, 1969, in Plymouth. He was a 1987 graduate of Plymouth High School. Ken enjoyed working with his hands and worked in construction for several years.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his daughter, Alana.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Alana; his parents, Don and Marsha Wilson of Plymouth, one sister, Michelle (Dan) Kodicek of Valparaiso; two brothers, Duane (Anita) Wilson and Chris Wilson, both of Plymouth and his maternal grandmother, Erma Ellinger of Bourbon.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Ellinger and his paternal grandparents, Donald R. and Elizabeth Wilson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Larry Marhanka, pastor of the Plymouth First United Methodist Church, will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
