Larry L. Lacher, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.

He was born on January 14, 1943, in Plymouth, Indiana, to William R. and Lilly (Johnson) Lacher. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1961. On December 29, 1963, He married Marilyn Davis at Riverside EUB church, she preceded him in death on March 8, 2014.

Larry worked for Plymouth School Corporation as a custodian for 19 years as well as a delivery driver for People’s Drug Store. Larry was a gentle soul, always positive and happy.

He enjoyed reading the Bible, playing cards, bingo, baking pies, making mints and homemade meatballs. Although all those things made him happy, nothing compared to the love he had for his family.

He is survived by his children: Christopher Lacher of Plymouth; Kimberly Lacher; grandchildren: Ronald, Travis, and Wyatt Tanner; sister Shirley Cox; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Larry is also preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William “LaVerne” Lacher, Robert Lacher, Wayne Lacher; sisters: Irene Taylor, and LuLu Belle Town.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11:30-1:00 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Tim Lee officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made towards Larry’s service.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gentiva Hospice and Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home for their excellent care of Larry.
