Larry E. Wessell, 74, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Plymouth.
Born on May 18, 1950, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Harold and Amy (Oakes) Wessell. On July 15, 1972, he married Linda, she survives.
Larry worked for Commodore Homes in Pennsylvania and Fairmount Homes in Nappanee for 46 years as a driver that delivered mobile homes. He delivered a home in all 48 states before retiring in 2010.
Hard worker and a gentleman that was always willing to help someone in need. Larry absolutely loved classic cars, owning 14 Ford Falcons. Restoring and repairing the Falcons became a hobby of his and his son Jack then they would resell them. He enjoyed going to car shows and tagging along with him was his granddaughter Hayley that never missed her chance of getting in some extra time with grandpa.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Plymouth; daughter Trisha (Ken) Snyder of Cleveland, TN; son Jack Wessell of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Cody Snyder, Haley (Daniel) Aiello, Saige Wessell, Morgan Wessell, Kayden Wessell, Riley Wessell; great-grandchildren: Leo and Ellie Vargas, Emmalie Aiello, Braxton Wessell, Elias, Kaleigha Wessell; brothers: Ron (Debbie) Wessell, Dan (Loretta) Wessell, sisters and brother-in-law: Becky Huff and Meg (Andrew Lutz; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Betty Ann, Sandy, Jim, Billy; mother and father- in-law Jay and Pat Melat, son- in-law David Snyder and brother- in-law Steve Huff.
A special thanks to Liz and Jodie his nurses at Center for Hospice Care in Plymouth for their wonderful care.
Per the wishes of the family there will be no services.
