Lavanda L. Wunderlich, 85, passed away at 1:50 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Millers Merry Manor, Plymouth, Indiana.
She was born on January 5, 1921 in Ober, Indiana to Stacy and Mabel G. Bickel Osborn. Lavanda graduated from Knox High School with the class of 1939 after graduation she attended Manchester College.
Lavanda worked for the Bendix Corp briefly before moving on to Rockwell Industries, Knox where she worked from 1957 to 1970 as a secretary. She then worked as a payroll secretary at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home from 1970 to 1980 before retiring.
She was very skilled with her hands; she enjoyed making quilts for friends and family and spent numerous hours in her beautiful flower garden. She also took great pleasure feeding and watching the birds in her backyard. She also had an extensive antique collection.
Lavanda was a member of St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Plymouth.
She is survived by her longtime friend, George Krecik, Knox, and a special friend Jennie Olsen, Lakeville.
Lavanda was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Osborn and a daughter, Dian.
Visitation for Lavanda will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2006 from 5 to 7 pm in the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street. Plymouth, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Co. Humane Society.
