Leona G. Fish, 92, a lifetime resident of Marshall County died at 7:10 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2000 in the Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, under the loving care of her family.
Leona was born on November 13, 1907, to Edward and Daisy Woodfield Price, in Marshall County.
She graduated from Plymouth High School, and then attended Manchester College to study business.
On October 20, 1935, in Plymouth, she married Clifford E. Fish, and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before Clifford went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 1992.
Leona, a homemaker, will always be remembered for her love for her family. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to visited family and friends, playing shuffleboard, gardening, and cooking for her family. A member of Sunrise Chapel, both she and Clifford were dedicated to helping with the activities of the World Missionary Press.
Leona is survived by two sons and a daughter. They are Devon and Betty Fish, of Plymouth, Elson and Patsy Fish of Lakeville, and Sherlyn and George Kohr of York, PA. A brother, Henry Price, of Plymouth, also survives.
Nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren survive, they are Randy and Nancy Fish of South Bend, Rick and Linda Fish of Plymouth, Ryan and Nikki Fish of South Bend, Steve and Sue Kohr of York, PA, Karen and Keith Swarr of Lancaster PA, Bev and Brad Zarges of Houghton, New York, Brad and Michelle Fish of Elkhart, Brian Fish of Canton, Ohio, and Brenton Fish of South Bend.
The great–grandchildren are: Aaron, Eric, Justin, and Brandon Fish of South Bend, Dan, Adam, Zachary, and Micah Kohr of York, PA, William Zarges of Houghton, New York, and Brandon and Mason Fish of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Floyd Price and two sisters, Lucille Lemler, and Fern Prokop.
Friends may call at the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Sunrise Chapel on Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at 10 a.m., where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Rustin D. Krapfl, of Sunrise Chapel, will officiate the service.
Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
