Leticia C. “Letty” Kersey, 61, of Skylane Drive, Plymouth, IN, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2006 in Regency Place of South Bend.
Letty was born on November 6, 1944 in the Phillipines, where she had attended Cosmotology school. On September 9, 1989, Letty and Dale E. Kersey, Jr., were married in Culver, IN.
From 1987 to 1989, Letty had worked as a Nanny in Avon, Conn. After moving to Plymouth, she had worked as the Head Housekeeper at the Super 8 Motel for ten years.
Letty enjoyed traveling with friends when she was younger. She liked to fish, go out for dinner and work Crossword books, and was able to speak seven languages, six of which were Phillipine dialects.
Letty is survived by her husband, Dale, two step-sons: Steven and Faith Kersey of Culver, and Brian Kersey of Plymouth, two step-daughters: Amy Jo Kersey of Plymouth and Dawn Ellen Laver of Sumpter, SC.
Ben Kersey, a brother-in-law, also survives along with three sisters-in-law: Joyce Elaine Evans of Mishawaka, and Linda Pruitt and Elizabeth Ann Kersey, both of Plymouth.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2006, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
Funeral Services for Letty will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2006 in the funeral Home. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Letty’s name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
