Lois Thomas, 96, a former resident of Plymouth, died on December 14, 2008, at the Freedom Village Nursing Home, Bradenton, Florida. Born in Bourbon, IN. on April 16, 1912, Lois was the daughter of Isiah Henry and Katie Della Highshew Grossman. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1929.
She was married to Joe Thomas.
An accountant with National Airlines out of Miami, Lois played piano for Burl Ives and was an accompanist for theaters in the silent movie days.
Lois is survived by three nieces: Barb Hunt, FLA.: Bev Bixel, South Bend, IN.: Ruth (Jack) West, Tippecanoe, IN
Private services will be held at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 Plymouth, IN.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society.
