Lola M. Marriott, 88, died of natural causes in her home, 12059 Maple Rd., Plymouth, at 11:21 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006.
Lola was born in Culver on October 13, 1917, the daughter of Carl and Blanche Cromley Finney. She graduated from Culver High School with the class of 1935
On August 31, 1940, in Gary, Indiana Lola M. Finney married Loren C. Marriott , Lola was a homemaker.
The Marriotts were dairy farmers and Lola helped Loren around the farm as well as maintaining their home and raising their children.
She was an avid reader, an excellent cook and expert gardener.
She was a former member of the Trinity United Methodist church.
Lola is survived by one son, Brent C. Marriott, Mishawaka; and one daughter, Beverly A. Krieg, Sullivan, Indiana.
Two grandchildren, Brian Krieg, Sullivan and Julie Baldwin, Sullivan, and two great-grandchildren, Rayne and Gracie survive as well along with three sisters: Jeanne Ringer, Lakeville: Betty Derring, Columbus, Ind., and Lila Fennimore, Greenwood, Ind. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Jay Marriott. Two brothers, Patrick Finney and Millard Finney also died before her.
Friends will be welcomed by the family to celebrate the life of Lola Marriott on Sunday, March 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Monday at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. William Kaster, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, will be help at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2006, in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rochester, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Lola’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
