Louis Houston, 79, of Plymouth passed away on Saturday evening of November 17, 2018 at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Plymouth. He was born on January 19, 1939 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Jasper and Laura Garling Houston.
Louis graduated from Liberty High School near Chesterton, Indiana in 1956. He married Ann McCasland in 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi.
He was employed with NIPSCO for 36 years retiring in 1994.
Louis farmed for several years and loved horses and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Ann of Plymouth; son, Bob (Sharon) Houston of Plymouth; daughter, Mary Sparks (Dennis Tucker) of Argos; and grandchildren: Jason (Liz) Houston, Amanda Newman, Matt Houston, Michael (Amanda) Fisher, Tony (Heather) Sparks, and Bryan Sparks. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers; David and Jay Houston and one sister: Jan Dugger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Laura Houston.
Visitation for Louis will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth, and funeral services will take place at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating.
