Lucille R. Heydt

January 3, 1923 — June 19, 2016

Lucille R. Heydt passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson, Indiana. She is survived by her son Curt, her daughter-in-law Jane, her granddaughter Anna and two great grandchildren, Jack and Penny. She has an older sister, Mary, who resides in Illinois. She is also survived by her nephew, Anthony Tortorella, and nieces, Sharon, Carol, and Mary Beth.

Lucille was married 67 years to her husband Curt, and they had one child, Curt Jr. Her gentle touch of love brought happiness and balance to their home. She had a dry sense of humor and a sweet smile. During her last year at Catherine Kasper she was the happiest and most contented she had been in the last fifteen years of her life. The sisters, residents, and staff at Catherine Kasper opened their hearts to her and offered her love and friendship. Her son is deeply grateful for the care that she received and wishes all to know that our Lord has used them as angels of mercy and love, not only in the life of his mother but in his as well.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday June 23rd at 2 p.m. in the Catherine Kasper Home Chapel located at 9601 Union Road, Donaldson, Indiana. Fr. Thomas E. Haynes, pastor of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Plymouth will officiate.

Memorial gifts in Lucille’s name may be given to the Catherine Kasper Life Center, P.O. Box 1, Donaldson, IN 46513.
