Malcolm Arthur Rennells, 92, of Bishop Court, Plymouth, entered into eternal rest at his home on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2013 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Plymouth, Indiana on April 6, 1921, the son of Clyde A. and Anna Elizabeth (Barber) Rennells. A lifelong resident, Malcolm graduated with the Lincoln High School Class of 1939.
On January 18, 1942 in the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, he took as his bride the former Pearl Bernice Crum. They have continued their membership of the church throughout their 71 years together.
Malcolm was a twenty year employee of McCord’s Heat Transfer and retired April 30, 1986. He was also a carpenter by trade and took up farming as a hobby which they named ‘Rennells Maple Hill Farm’. Together the couple enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife Pearl, a son; Ronald A. (Mary) Rennells of Plymouth, two daughters; Janice A. (Stan) Myers of Ft. Wayne and Lori M. Rennells of Plymouth. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive with one sister, Gloria J. Swartz of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene B. Maxey and a granddaughter, Michelle Cashman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Ed Friberg officiating.
