Malena Eleni (Mandich) Fullerton, 69, died Friday, January 5, 2024 from complications of an illness.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Michael Fullerton; her daughters, Dawn Cook-Price and Mary Fullerton Espich (Andy); her son, Daniel Fullerton, her brother, Steven Mandich Jr.; and grandchildren, Quinten Price, Coby Long, Sophia Price, and Connor Fullerton.
Malena was born in Greece in 1954 and raised in South Bend, Indiana, and was the daughter of Steve and Mayme Mandich of South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1972. She met her husband William when he was working as a door-to-door salesman for Kirby’s in 1976. They would be united in marriage on February 16, 1977.
Malena was a dedicated mother and wife. She always worked incredibly hard, always placing her family first. She enjoyed gardening, playing games with the family, and cooking. She would often try out different recipes and loved sharing recipes and ideas for gatherings. Malena was a faithful member of the House of Prayer in Plymouth, attending for over 25 years.
She enjoyed and became quite a master at keeping her family apprised of ALL the happenings in the neighborhood, town, and state.
Malena enjoyed working for Center Management Corporation for 25 years as the manager of Westgate Apartments in Plymouth Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mayme Mandich, Steve Mandich Sr, and her granddaughter Lexie Shock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 5-7 pm at the House of Prayer, 12450 Plymouth Goshen Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7PM with Pastor Nathaniel Haner officiating.
