Margaret L. Markley, 101, lifelong resident of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on the morning of Thursday January 10, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.
She was born on April 21, 1917 in Kewanna, Indiana to Clifford and Gertrude Wisely Lamborn.
She graduated with the Class of 1935 from Plymouth High School.
She married Glenn D. Markley on September 4, 1937 in Plymouth and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1994.
Margaret was the oldest living member at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Plymouth.
She is survived by her daughters: Beverly (John) Eckert of Naperville, Illinois and Peggy (Ron) Smith of Plymouth, and one son, Richard (Karen) Markley of Plymouth; grandchildren: Julie Eckert of Naperville, Illinois, Jennifer Eckert Schneid of Wood Ridge, Illinois, Chris Scheetz of Frisco, Texas, Stephanie Scheetz of Indianapolis, Brent Markley of Tippecanoe, Tricia Witmer of Plymouth and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister: Hilda Bowman of Plymouth
Visitation for Margaret will be held on Sunday January 13, 2019 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeff Stueve officiating. Interment will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following the services.
