Margaret P. Carr, 71, of Pierce St., Plymouth, died of natural causes in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2006.
Margaret had lived in Plymouth, Rochester and South Bend areas all of her life.
She was born in Akron, Indiana on April 25, 1935, the daughter of William F. and Charlotte M. Hattery Moore.
She attended Plymouth High School through her freshman year and received her G.E.D. in south Bend and earned an associate degree from Ancilla College.
Margaret and Roland F. Carr, Sr. were married in Rochester, Indiana on October 27, 1956. Roland died on January 5, 2004.
She had worked at the Ristance Corp. in Bremen for 13 years.
Margaret enjoyed listening to music and had a large collection of music boxes and dolls. She also collected angels and snow balls and enjoyed listening to music.
She enjoyed traveling and had visited Paris, France and Germany.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons. Her daughters and sons-in-law are Roberta K. and Kurt Wunder and Robin and Kris Morcombe, all of Plymouth.
Her sons are Roy A. Carr of Bourbon and Roland F. Carr, Jr., of Bremen.
Ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive her death together with a sister and brother-in-law, Georgia L. and Fred Kean of Upland, Indiana.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and seven brothers.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Sunday, August 6, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. and after 7 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Margaret will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006, in the funeral home.
The Rev. Deb Peterson, pastor of the Union Church of the Brethren, where Margaret was a member, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
Memorial donations in her memory made be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
