Maria B. Mendoza, 83, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday night, August 10, 2017 in her residence.
Maria was born on December 27, 1933 in San Bartolo Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Fransico Rivera and Socorro Velasques.
In 1950 Maria married Jesus M. Mendoza; and he survives.
Maria was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband; Jesus M. Mendoza of Plymouth, and their seven kids; Antonia Mendoza Fruits of Plymouth, Maria Isabel Oviedo of Plymouth, Martha Elena Wright of Plymouth, Jose Martin Mendoza of Plymouth, Jesse Mendoza Jr., of South Bend, Connie Marie Mendoza of Plymouth and Susanna Marie Mendoza of Bonita Springs, Florida. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one sister; Jesus Rivera of Reynosa, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday August 18, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 612 N. Walnut Street, Plymouth. Mass will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the church with Fr. John Korcsmar C.S.C officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Michael Church.
