Marilyn J. Moreno, 74, of Plymouth, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center-Plymouth Campus. Marilyn was born October 1, 1942 in Plymouth, Indiana, to the late Norman and Maudie (Gaines) Rhoads.
Marilyn had worked for AK Industries, Inc. for ten years as a fiberglass roller.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge #741 in Plymouth. She enjoyed sewing, playing poker and Bingo.
Surviving are her six children; Pat Belcher and companion, Johnny Whitt both of Argos, Jimmy Balmer of Kokomo, Lisa (Jorge) Rivera of Argos, Tom (Lisa) Balmer of Kokomo, George Balmer and companion, Karla Root both of Baroda, Michigan, Chris (Cari) Balmer of Valparaiso, eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are her four brothers and one sister; Norman, Dennis, Darwin and Rick Rhoads all of Plymouth, and Martha Guerra of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth. Graveside services will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Rich VanVuren officiating.
