Marjorie M Martin, 95, most recently of Macy, Indiana, passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Rochester, Indiana.
Marjorie was born in Marshall County on February 5, 1923 to Charles M. and Charlotte (Price) Redman. She graduated from LaPaz High School with the class of 1942.
On July 2, 1950 in Ellicottville, New York, Marjorie married John W. Martin. He would proceed her in death on December 29, 1992.
Marjorie worked for United Technologies in the Hand and Bench Department as a welder for 22 years before her retirement in 1988.
She most recently attended the First United Church of Christ in Plymouth. She enjoyed flowers, watching her shows on TV and watching Notre Dame and the Colt’s play with Allan. She loved being around her children and their families.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Bruce A. Martin of North Carolina; son-in-law, Allan Schaeffner of Rochester; grandchildren: Frederic Schaeffner of Rochester and Marjorie Saylor: great-grandchildren, Hana Schaeffner and Kathy Saylor of Austin, TX; step-granchildren, Paul and Robert Schaeffner and Susie Elchert; 12 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Natalie Nunemaker of Bremen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Greg Martin, daughter, Kathy Schaeffner, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. on Wednesday October 24th, 2018 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jason Rice officiating.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery.
