Mary Jayne Dunfee

November 29, 1919 — August 12, 2006

Mary Jayne Dunfee, 86, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 12, 2006 at her home. Formerly of Plymouth, she and her husband Dr. Arnold Dunfee moved to Florida nearly 20 years ago and have resided at 635 Majestic Oak Drive, Apopka.

Jayne was born in Goshen, Ind. on November 29, 1919 to Harry Orrie and Mary Louise Ridenoure. Jayne graduated with the Plymouth High School Class of 1939. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Plymouth.

She had been active in many local clubs and charities including; Eastern Star, Delta Theta Tau, the Dorcus Society, and American Cancer Society. Her appreciation of antiques brought her interest to the Hoosier Doll and Wythougan Doll Guilds of which she was a local founding member, the Hoosier Old Wheels and Marshall County Historical Society. Jayne enjoyed the game of golf and was a longtime member of the Plymouth Country Club.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Dr. Arnold Dunfee of Apopka, a son; Dr. Michael Tim and wife Mary Ann Dunfee of Spencer, Ind., a daughter; Frances and spouse Mark Berger of Elkhart, Ind. and son; David and wife Jeannie Dunfee of Apopka. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Jayne was preceded in death by a daughter; Laurie Susan who died at the age of six in 1957 and one brother Jack Ridenoure.

Friends are invited to join the family in remembering the life of Mary Jane Dunfee from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in the Plymouth New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel where memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Fr. John Schramm of St. Thomas Church will officiate. Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
