Mary Patricia Scheetz

Mary Patricia Scheet, 83, born on September 12, 1941, was called to her heavenly home on December 19, 2024. She passed peacefully, embraced by the love of her family, after complications from kidney disease and diabetes. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose faith and compassion touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Pat’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a dedicated member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Lakeville, Indiana where she served faithfully and found great joy in her church family. Her deep spirituality guided her throughout her life, providing strength and comfort to her and those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John D. Scheetz of Grovertown, Indiana and her beloved children, John P. Scheetz of South Bend and Michael H. Scheetz of Grovertown. Pat was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alfred and Mina Boys of Plymouth, Indiana.

Pat’s Kindness, generosity, and love were evident in everything that she did. Her home was always open to family and friends, where she shared her culinary talents and hospitality. Her nurturing spirit and tender care were a reflection of her loved of God’s creation, particularly birds and flowers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Lakeside Baptist Church, 515 Michigan Trl. Lakeville, IN 46536.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing their stories of her remarkable life. Her life in the resurrection gives comfort to all who grieve her passing, knowing that she now rests in the arms of the Lord.
