Melissa , affectionately known as Missy to her family and friends, 43, passed away of natural causes at her home in South Bend, IN. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011.
Missy was born on November 7, 1968, to Mary L. (Young) Nethercutt and Phillip Moore.
Missy, a native of Plymouth gained her undergraduate degree in Accounting and was recently studying to be a Medical Transcriptionist. She was a very unselfish and giving person and was always helping and thinking of others. A plasma donor to help other people, Missy loved her sons and grandchildren unconditionally and encouraged them to follow their dreams.
She loved to socialize and she enjoyed her house plants, homemaking and collecting angels. She adored all animals and especially her dog, Diogi.
Missy was a member of the Christian Center Church of South Bend, IN., where she had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Missy is survived by her mother, Mary L. Nethercutt of Mishawaka, her three sons: former PFC. Timothy L. Hoff, Bremen: SGT., Justin D. Hoff of Ft. Campbell, KY., and Miles Warner of Plymouth. One grandson, Logan Hoff and three sisters, Crystal Lenig (Lloyd Wesley), Plymouth: Wanda (Jeremy) Schlemmer, Mishawaka and Amanda Rose Nethercutt, also of Mishawaka survive together with two-half sisters of Cromwell, IN. and one brother, Dwayne (Danielle) Nethercutt of Plymouth.
Missy was preceded in death by her step-father, Clayton Bowling, Jr. and grandparents, Harold and Waneta Young of Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, in the Sanctuary at the Christian Center Church of South Bend, IN. The Rev. Mark Lantz, Senior Pastor of the church, will officiate.
