Michael Evanoff, “Big Mike”, 51 years of age, died of natural causes at 9:22 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011, in his residence.
Born the son of Michael and Beverlee Dorchel Evanoff in Hammond, IN., on March 10, 1960, he graduated from Hammond Morton High School with the class of 1978.
Big Mike, as he was affectionately called, worked for Valmont Industries, Elkhart, IN.
A movie buff, he was very skilled in electronics. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. A good-hearted man, he was very friendly and didn’t know a stranger.
Big Mike is survived by his parents, Michael and Beverlee Evanoff, Hacksneck, VA., two brothers, Mark (Colleen) Evanoff, Osceola, IN., and Robert Evanoff, Melfa, VA., and by a sister Debra Bayliss, Onley, VA.
Two nieces, Mandy and Megan also survive as do Mike’s two beloved cats.
Friends are invited to share memories and condolences with Big Mike’s family on Friday, October 7, 2011, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN.
Funeral services for Mike, conducted by Life Celebrant, Roberta Norris, will follow visitation at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
