A graveside service for Michael “Mike” G. Rhodes will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12th in the Fair Cemetery, North Liberty, located at the corner of Oak and Stanton Roads. Oneda Estes will officiate. Mike, age 66, who resided at 2200 Hillcrest, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 11:18 a.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in his home. Mike was born on November 7, 1946, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Vernon and Mae (Williamson) Rhodes. He had been a self-employed truck driver for over 25 years. He also worked in the industrial furnace construction field. Mike enjoyed watching sports, especially golf on TV, and enjoyed going fishing. He had been a resident of the Plymouth area for the past two years. He served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his son, Bryan (Lisa) Rhodes of Avilla, Indiana; his grandson, Cory Glenn; his sisters, Nancy Lewallen of North Carolina and Sandra Michael of Plymouth; his brother, David Rhodes of Florida; and his companion, Bonnie Platz of Plymouth.
His mother, Mae Rhodes passed away on May 21st of this year.
