Nancy E. Reichert

March 18, 1945 — January 15, 2002

Fifty-six year old Nancy E. Reichert, an area resident all of her life, died, following a lengthy illness, at her residence, 823 Poplar St., Plymouth, under the loving care of her family and the Marshall County Hospice, at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002.

Nancy was born in Plymouth on Mar. 18, 1945, the daughter of Wayne L. and Edna Fear Weedling. She attended Plymouth schools.

On Mar. 5, 1976, in Plymouth, she and Joel L. Reichert were married.

A homemaker and mother, she spent most of her free time researching genealogy.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Joel, and by their four sons, a daughter, ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Her children are: Marc and Beckie Hessler, Bremen, Ind., Doug Hessler, Las Vegas, Nev., Mike and Sara Reichert, Webberville, Mich., Jay and Tina Reichert, Warsaw, Ind., and Annette (Reichert) Buck and her husband, Fred, Topeka, Ind.

Edna Weedling of Plymouth, Nancy’s mother, also survives together with three brothers and a sister. They are: Walter and Mary Weedling, Peter and Mary Weedling and Mary and Ronald Hite, all of Plymouth and David and Patricia Weedling of Hawaii. Several nieces and nephews survive as well.

Nancy’s father preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be on Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake United Methodist Church where Nancy had attended services, will officiate.

Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial gifts in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Hospice.
