Nancy Rodgers-Altman, 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on March 31, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois to Karl and Carol (Gilbert) Muntanion. Nancy met Tony while working at the laundromat. Tony noticed her inner beauty as well as her outward beauty right away. On April 13, 2024, she married Tony Altman in Springfield, MO at the Bass Pro Shop NRA Museum.
Spunky and candid are just two words that described Nancy, she never minced any words on how she felt. However, generous and loving were the other words that most knew her by. Nancy never missed her grandchildren’s events, and they rarely heard the word “no.” Tony described how caring she was towards countless people, often giving up her time to offer her ear and shoulders for those that needed someone. Her children would agree that going out to places with their mom was never a short adventure as she would often get into conversations that would last a while.
Nancy was an avid animal lover, from dogs to horses. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. Nancy was a member of Plymouth Moose Lodge 74.
She is survived by her husband Tony of Plymouth; children: Jeremy Genslinger of Plymouth; Jason Kuhn; Natalia Bennett; Marjorie “Meg” (Alex) Baker of Bremen; Scott (Kira) Genslinger of Middlebury; grandchildren: Ava Davidson, Myles Davidson, , Justin(Lauren) Davidson, Bayley Genslinger, Wyatt Genslinger, Cane Kuhn, Alicia Kuhn, Dillan Bennett, Brian Bennett, Karl Bennett, Destiny Bennett, Jonathan Bennett, Nate Bennett; great-grandchild Lukas Davidson; siblings: Karla Welker of Texas; Tamara Muntanion of Kentucky; Ella (Dan) Parma of Illinois; Julie (Joe) Marzec of Texas; Karl (Christine) Muntanion of Ill.
