Pearl J. Konkle died at 8:35 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2000 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, following an illness. She had been a resident of the Plymouth and Warsaw areas most of her life.
Pearl was born in Springfield, Illinois on Oct. 24, 1918 , the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Creacy Warner. She attended Willow Shade School in Kentucky.
Pearl was married to Wilson “Nate” Konkle who preceded her in death in 1977.
Pearl was a homemaker who enjoyed her family. She was an avid Bingo Player, and in her younger days, she enjoyed Square Dancing.
She was a past member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge.
Pearl is survived by two daughters, Betty Sarna of Plymouth, IN and Wanda Stiles of Meridan, Conn., as well as four sons, Richard and Hotsuko Stiles, Elmer DeWayne and Alice Stiles, Don and Diane Stiles, and Dennis Ringle, all of Plymouth, IN.
Seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter survive as well as five sisters, Josephine and Arden Webb, Helen and Lee Thompson, Margaret and Clifford Milliser, Mary and Richard Taylor and Jean M. Orr, all of Plymouth.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Nate, a grandson, Damon Stiles, one sister May Pranger, and five brothers, Paul, Ennis, Charles, Edward and Joe Warner.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
