Ninety-one year old Phoebe Ann Haag, a resident of Walnut Creek Care Center since 1994, died of natural causes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2001, in the Center. She formerly lived on West 6th Road in Plymouth.
Born in Weesaw Twp., Berrien, County Michigan, on April 26, 1909, Phoebe was the daughter of William R. and Mary Smith Wyant.
On December 31, 1934, in Knox, Ind., she was married to Clyde Haag. Clyde died in 1990.
A homemaker, she and her husband enjoyed gathering walnuts throughout the countryside and selling them.
Phoebe is survived by several nieces and nephews and by her friend and caregiver, Nancy Young of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church, will follow visitation at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2001, in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Tyner Cemetery, Tyner, Ind.
