Ralph E. Milkey, 79, of 11043 S. Michigan St., Plymouth, died at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. Ralph’s death was caused by injuries from an auto accident on December 28, 2004.
Born in Mishawaka, Ind., on March 20, 1925, Ralph graduated from Mishawaka High School.
On July 5, 1947, in Plymouth, Ralph and Doris Julia DeMien were married. They shared a great love affair for 52 years, until Julia died of chronic heart failure on May 20, 2000.
Retired from Bomarko, Ralph was a Cubs and Notre Dame fan.
He was a member of the Plymouth Moose Family Center and was a Son of the American Legion, Post #27.
Ralph is survived by two sons: Ted and Paula Milkey, Indianapolis and Russ Milkey, Noblesville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Julia DeMien Milkey.
Friends may visit with his family on Friday, January 21, 2005, from 11 to 1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Lyle Breeding, will be held in the funeral home following visitation at 1 p.m.
Memorial gifts to a service dear to Ralph’s heart should be donated to the Marshall County Hospice.
