Richard A. “Dick†Flosenzier, 78, passed away on January 30, 2019. Dick was a lifetime resident.
Born in Plymouth on September 29, 1940, Dick was the son of Vernon and Ruth (Read) Flosenzier. He was a farmer who raised Brown Swiss cattle, having great success showing them. As an accomplished fisherman, Dick enjoyed catching many types and sizes from area lakes. He enjoyed taking his friends and family members on fishing trips and sharing his tips and tricks. Ice fishing was one of his favorite things. Dick was true to his faith and loved the Lord. He was a member of New Song Church in Plymouth where he taught Sunday School for many years. He recently found a new love for woodworking and truly enjoyed his new-found hobby. He will be lovingly cherished by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Leininger) Flosenzier of Plymouth, his children; Vance (Michelle) Flosenzier of Bridge City, TX and Mindy (Ron) Welty of Elkhart, IN.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with more on the way; his sisters Linda Hartle of Argos, IN and Jean Church of Knoxville, TN; many other family members and dear friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at New Song Church, 1292 Baker Street, Plymouth with Rev. Justin Chambers officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at New Song Church, the family will also receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
