Robert “Mike” Neiswender

Robert “Mike” Neiswender, 68, of Plymouth passed away on September 23, 2023, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born in Gary, IN on September 30, 1954, to Homer Neiswender and Bertha Puckett. He married Marsha Swope in Bourbon, IN in the late 1990’s, she preceded him in death in 2007.
Mike had his own tree service business, Busy Beaver, and worked in the industry for 50 years. His son, Robert Jr., followed in his footsteps by also entering the industry. Mike was a mentor to his son until he retired.
He was known for having a big heart and when he put his mind to something, he was determined to get the job done. In his younger years, Mike liked to race at Plymouth Motor Speedway. He was also an avid fisherman throughout his life.
Mike is survived by his children, Robert (Shelly) Neiswender Jr. of South Bend, Shane Neiswender of Tulsa, OK, and Misty (David) Burrow of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Bertha, and wife, Marsha.
Per the wishes of the family, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
