Ruby Kaiser, 82, of West 1st Rd., Walkerton, Ind., died after a long and courageous battle at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in her residence.
Born in Teegarden, Indiana, on July 2, 1928, Ruby was born the daughter
of Nelson and Gertrude Harley Baughman. She graduated from Tyner
High School with the class of 1946.
On November 2, 1946, in Mishawaka, Ruby Baughman and Robert Kaiser were married, Bob preceded her in death on June 21, 2004.
Ruby loved being a farmer’s wife and a homemaker. She enjoyed
reading, crocheting, playing cards, and most of all, being with her family. She loved her little dog Terry too.
She was a skilled musician playing both piano and the organ. Ruby
was very dedicated to her church and could be found at many church
activities and hosting many social functions for the church.
She was a member of the Shalom Fellowship Church.
She is survived a daughter and two sons. Her daughter is Sharon and Randy Klingerman, of South Bend, Indiana. Her sons are Dennis and Pamela Kaiser, of Walkerton, Indiana and David and Patricia Kaiser, of Grant Park, Illinois. Five grandsons also survive. They are: David Malstaff, Walkerton;
Dennis Kaiser, Jr., North Liberty; Jeff Kaiser, North Liberty; Jason Kaiser, Indianapolis; and Kevin Kaiser, South Bend. Three granddaughters, Robyn and Jamie Klingerman, South Bend and Erica Baca, Plymouth, survive as well,
together with six great-grandchildren and one great – great grandchild.
She is also survived by four sisters Velma Mangus, Opal Kranitz, Marian Bralick and Shirley Lichtenbarger.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother
Harley Baughman and a sister Elaine Haycraft.
Friends will be welcomed by the family at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, on Friday, June 17,
2011, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services for Ruby will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday,
June 18, 2011, in the funeral home. The Rev. James Gilmer, pastor
of Shalom Fellowship Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Morris Park Cemetery, LaPaz, Ind.
