Russell John “Rusty” Larson, 36, died at his residence, 214 Walnut Street, LaPaz, Ind., at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2000.
Rusty was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 28, 1964. He was the son of Russell Frances Larson and Tina E. Szafranski Dickeson. He attended Oregon-Davis High School.
He served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1986.
Rusty had been employed as a Finance Officer with a bank in Chicago, Rusty was also a Sports Journalist and an avid Chicago Bulls fan. He had a large and colorful collection of stuffed animal cartoon characters.
Survived by his mother, Tina E. Dickeson, of Argos, Ind. and his father Russell Frances Larson, Chicago, Ill., Rusty also leaves three sisters: Denise and Larry Hogan, Richfield, Minn., Robin and Eric Marx, St. Paul, Minn. and Wendy Wetzel and her fiancé, Jamie Mills, Blackduck, Minn.
Two nephews, Michael Jon Castner and Gene Hogan and one niece, Kristi Mills also survive along with his grandmother, Evelyn Wetzel, Lansing, Ill.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2000, at 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. The Rev. Larry Wetzel, an uncle of Russell, will officiate.
