Scott Alan Colburn, 38, passed away unexpectedly in his parent’s home at 9:04 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018.
Scott was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 16, 1979 to David P. and Darlene K. (Seggerman) Colburn.
For over 15 years, Scott helped his mom deliver the Pilot Newspaper to many homes in Plymouth.
Scott was the biggest Cubs fan. He enjoyed watching classic tv shows and movies like M.A.S.H. and the Dukes of Hazard. He loved cars; if you needed a car part or something found, he knew where to get it for the best price and always made sure his family’s cars were running properly and safely. He also collected McDonald toys and loved Mater from the movie Cars.
Family was most important in Scott’s life and he loved them dearly. He always made sure to put his mom and dad first.
Scott is survived by his parents, David and Darlene, of Plymouth; his sister, Jennifer Colburn (Joe Railing Jr.) of New Carlisle; niece, Brandie Smith of Knox; paternal grandmother, Wanda Colburn of Mishawaka; and uncles: Kenneth Seggerman of TX and Brian, Allan and Elliot Colburn, all of Mishawaka.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Norma Seggerman, and paternal grandfather, Paul Junior Colburn.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family or to a fund for Scott set up through Teacher’s Credit Union in Plymouth.
