Sharon Lee (Walter) Cool, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 08, 2007 following a longtime illness in the Indiana Heart Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born on July 9, 1939 in Lakeville, Ind., the daughter of James E. & Marie (Hansen) Walter and was a graduate of North Liberty High School.
On October 27, 1956 in North Liberty, Ind. she became the bride of Michael Cool, together they have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She received her Registered Nursing Degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing. She shared this dedication of service at the Methodist and Community Hospitals of Indianapolis and retired in 1976.
Sharon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband Michael, a daughter; Terri Gren of St. George, Utah, and three sons; Steven Cool of Indianapolis, Stanley Cool of North Vernon, Ind., and James Cool of Carmel, Ind. along with fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A brother; Jerry Walter and step mother; Phyllis Walter both reside in Palm Bay, Florida. Two step brothers; Jay Sims and Jan Sims also survive and reside in Kokomo.
Proceeding in death were her birth parents and a step sister; Toni Sims.
Family and friends will celebrate the life of Sharon Cool as she wished, in a simple graveside service at 2 P.M. Saturday, August 11th in the Fair Cemetery, located on Oak Road just north of Stanton Road in St. Joseph Co. near her former home of North Liberty. Don Hinsdale will preside.
Memorial gifts in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of the donor’s choice.
