Shelley K. Balmer, died at her home, 404 E. Washington St., Plymouth, at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2007. Shelley was born in Plymouth on January 26, 1965. She was the daughter of Ken and Doris Stayton Hooker. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1983.
On November 12, 1988, Shelley and George Balmer were married in the Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and crafts. She loved being a mom and spending time with her family.
Shelley is survived by her husband, George, and their two children, Sarah Balmer and Allen Balmer, all of Plymouth.
Her mother, Doris Hooker and two brothers, Dennis Hooker and Sean Hooker, all of Plymouth, survive as well.
Shelley was preceded in death by a son, Jerrin Lee.
Friends are invited to share memories of Shelley with her family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2007, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Shelley will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Steven Resner, pastor of the Calvary Lutheran Church where Shelley was a member, will officiate.
