Sherman Prater Jr.
March 13, 1942 — July 19, 2010
Sherman Prater Jr., 68, passed away following an extended illness at 2:50 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. A former resident of LaPorte, he moved to Plymouth in 1990 and also maintained a winter residence in Sebring, Florida.
He was born the son of Sherman Prater Sr. and Carma (Craft) Prater on March 13, 1942 in Tiptop, Kentucky. He attained his education in Knox, Indiana and then served in the U.S. Army.
On January 7, 1977 in Knox, Indiana, Sherm married the former Lee Holbrook who survives. Together they thoroughly enjoyed life.
Also surviving are special friends: Brent and Sherry Schafer of Plymouth, Kevin and Teresa Bock of Sebring, Florida as well as one brother and two sisters.
There will be no services or visitation.
