Sonia Renee Sanders, 57, of Plymouth and formerly of Bremen, Indiana peacefully passed away at her home at 6:47 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Sonia was born in Bremen, Indiana. She was the daughter of Clifford Sr. and Frances (Ketcham) Weldy.
On August 22, 1981, Sonia and Russell Sanders were married in Bremen, Indiana.
A loving and dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with her children and after much practice, she learned how to fish. Sonia worked at Miller’s Merry Manor in the housekeeping and laundry departments.
She is survived by her sons: Russell Lee Sanders of Argos, Joshua Alan Sanders of Plymouth; her brothers, Clifford “Bud” Weldy, Jr. and Brandon Weldy both of Bremen; and her sister, Melissa (Josh) White of Bourbon; her grandchildren, Braxton, Makayla, Paige, Owen, and Jacob.
Sonia was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 2019; daughter, Hope Krystyn Sanders, and Sister, Charity Sherry Weldy.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa Dr. Mishawaka, In 46545.
