Sr. Anne Fox, 88, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005 in the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, Indiana, where she has resided since November of last year.
Sister was born in Chicago, Ill., on March 26, 1917, the daughter of Louis N. and Anna Mueller Fox.
On June 25, 1937 she entered the convent and professed her first vows on June 25, 1939.
She taught primary grades in the following schools: St. Lawrence, Sandoval, Ill. from 1941-1943; St. George, New Ulm, Minn. from 1943-1944; St. John, Quincy, Ill. from 1944-1952; St. Bavo, Mishawaka, Ind. from 1952-1954 and St. Mary, Trenton, Ill. from 1954-1962. In 1962 and 1963 she obtained a Master’s Degree to teach Special Education from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Ind. She then taught Special Ed from 1963-1988 in St. Bavo’s, Mishawaka, from 1989-2003 she worked in the Academic Skill Center for Ancilla College and throughout 2004 she served as a volunteer tutor.
Survivors include a brother Daniel Fox of Beech Grove, Ind. a sister; Elizabeth Jeffs of Bremen, Ind. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Joseph Fox and a sister Therese Fox. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 24th, in the Catherine Kasper Home Chapel, Union Road, Donaldson.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Catherine Kasper Chapel. The Rev. Father Edward Konerman, S.J. will officiate.
Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Donaldson.
