Sr. Carmeline Parisi, 99, passed away at 12:35 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 in the Catherine Kasper Life Center on the Ancilla Domini Campus, Donaldson, Indiana.
Sister was born the daughter of Dominic and Teresa (Riente) Parisi on July 4th 1912 in Chicago.
Sr. Carmeline entered the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ on June 21st 1928. Her life ministries included child care at the Villa in Ft. Wayne, Angel Guardian Orphanage in Chicago, St. John’s Orphanage in Belleville, Ill. and abroad in Cambodia as well as in healthcare at Katherine Casper, Loretto Hospital New Ulm, Minn and St. Catherine Hospital at East Chicago, IN. She was preceded in death by a sister Madeline and two brothers; Dominic and her twin Carmel. Many nieces and nephews survive. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st in the Catherine Kasper Home Chapel 9601 Union Road, Donaldson with an Evensong prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1st in the Chapel with Celebrant Rev. Ed Konnerman.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery on the grounds of Ancilla Domini, Donaldson.
