Timothy A. “Homer†Watson, 66, passed away of natural causes at 5:05 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Homer was born in Plymouth, Indiana on December 28, 1949 to Charles W. and Wilma J. (Goodman) Watson. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy. Homer married the former Jean M. Conner.
He worked for Del Monte Foods in Plymouth until his retirement. Homer was also a jack of all trades; doing construction, butcher work and working on cars. He was a friend to everyone and would do anything for anyone. He loved to garden and raise chickens. Homer was a member of the American Legion Post 27 and VFW – Marshall County Post 1162, and former member of the Eagles, Moose Lodge and Phi Delts.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of Florida, and children: Kimberly (David) Conley of Auburn, AL, Timothy (Jennifer) Watson of Clarksville, TN, Jerrod Stout of Hamlet, IN and Geneva (Matthew) Bankert of Roanoke, VA; 23 grandchildren; and his beloved pets, Rosco and Prince.
His siblings are: Bill Watson, Andi Bunch, Lisa Doody, Jennifer “Susie†Read and Jon Watson.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Amy Hassan, and brothers, JD and Chuck Watson.
Private family services will be held.
