Toby Ann Towns

April 16, 1949 — February 4, 2011

Toby Ann Towns, 61, a longtime Plymouth resident, passed away at 4:20 p.m., Friday February 4, 2011 in the Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.

Toby was born the only child of Herschel E. and Phyllis J. “Josephine” (Eaglebarger) Towns on April 16, 1949 in Gary, Indiana. Her father was principal of Lincoln Jr. High for many years and her mother was a member of Tri-Kappa and civic minded. Toby enjoyed being a part of her parent’s lives and the family involvement in the community.

Toby knew her way to salvation and her kind spirit brought joy those around her and created a special bond with her excellent caregivers at the Cardinal Center in Warsaw and most recently Miller’s Merry Manor. For three years she took part in the activities at the Cardinal Work Center. She loved to color, cut out house plans and ‘dress up’ occasions.

Surviving cousins include: Becky (Jack) Cunningham of Taft, CA, Dede (Don) Sherman of Huntington, IN, Jodie (Ed) Welz of Mulberry, FL, Mary (Stanley) Wilhelm of Argos, Jon Branch Williams of Bakersfield, CA, Robert O. (Dorothy) Town of Bluffton, OH, and Bremen residents ;William G. and Lu Town a very special person in Toby’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8th in the funeral home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating.

Entombment will be in the New Oakhill Mausoleum.
