Virginia “Ginny” (France) Rowe, 71, of 222 Parkview St., Plymouth, an area resident all of her life, died following an illness, at 2:20 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2004, in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, Plymouth.
Born in Culver, Indiana, on April 7, 1933, Virginia was the daughter of Christopher S. and Mae S. Kershner Lolmaugh. She attended Culver schools.
She was married to Eugene M. France, Sr. in Plymouth on October 20, 1951. Eugene died on July 8, 1987. On June 12, 1993, she married Richard H. Rowe.
A homemaker, she enjoyed baby sitting for other people.
She liked to embroider, work on search and find puzzles, read and play board games.
Ginny was a member of the North Liberty Church of Christ, and she attended the Plymouth Missionary Church.
Richard, her husband, survives her death together with two daughters and a son. They are: Georgie Bell and Terry Ferrill, Mesick, Michigan; Liz and Joe Snyder, Plymouth, Indiana, and Ford W. and Joann France, Erlanger, Kentucky.
Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren survive as well, together with six brothers and two sisters. From South Bend, Indiana, her brothers are: Leo and Phyllis Lolmaugh, Jim and Nona Lolmaugh; John and Barb Lolmaugh, Jack, Don and Larry Lolmaugh. Her sisters are Evelyn and Tom Higgins, South Bend, Indiana and Clara and Julian De Baylo, Texas.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Eugene M. France, Sr., and a son, Eugene France, Jr.
Visitation with the family will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2004, in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel. Funeral services conducted by Pastor Tim Stewart of the North Liberty Church of Christ, will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. following visitation.
Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
