A memorial service is being planned for Wednesday, May 21st at 10:30 a.m. in the New Oakhill Cemetery Chapel for Wanda A. Lowry, 92 of Plymouth, who passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born in Sevastopol, Indiana on December 10, 1921, Wanda was the daughter of Marion and Icie D. (Igo) Taylor. She attended Beaver Dam School.
Wanda married Johnny A. Lowry on June 6, 1939. She enjoyed crafting, particularly macramé, and playing cards and games with her family and friends. Wanda loved traveling in their trailer with Johnny before his passing. She loved cooking and baking and times spent with family.
Wanda is survived by her son, Marion “Bub” (Barb) Lowry of Plymouth, daughters, Sandy Cox and Pat Steiner, both of Plymouth, and her brother Keith Taylor of San Diego, CA. Her grandchildren are: Tony Cox, Jeff Cox, Melinda Gonce, Todd Cox, Dan Lowry, Matt Lowry, Alan Lowry, Jason Steiner and Neika Smessaert, as well as, many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny, and siblings: Roberta Sickmiller and Louie and Arden Taylor.
