Warren R. Harner, 72, a lifetime Plymouth resident was called home at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012. His passing, following an illness, occurred at his residence of over 40 years on State Road 17 in Plymouth with his loving family at his side.
Warren was born in Bremen on February 8, 1940, the son of Leander “Lee” and Edith E. (Huff) Harner. He was a 1959 graduate of West High School.
On April 23, 1961, Warren took as his bride the former Barbara J. Vermillion in the Shiloh Wesleyan Church, Plymouth. Together they enjoyed 51 wonderful years.
Warren completed 43 years of service with Bremen Bearings.
As an active member of Shiloh church for over 50 years, Warren was involved with the church softball team as a player then coach. He enjoyed time with his family and simple things like mowing the yard. Bowling was also one of his top interests.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, three daughters and one son, they are; Pamela and John DePoy of Knox, Brenda and Don Dalton of LaPorte, Michelle and Daniel Large of Plymouth and Scott and Janet Harner of Plymouth. He also has nine loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A brother Larry Harner of Plymouth survives with several nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Arnold Lee Harner and a sister-in-law, Lela Harner.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 18th from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19th in the Shiloh Wesleyan Church located at the corner of King Road and 4B Road north of Plymouth. Calling will continue at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. The Rev. Richard Van Vuren will officiate.
Burial will immediately follow in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
