Winnifred “Winnie” Siddall, 80, 5625 Michigan St., Plymouth, died of natural causes in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, at 8:45 am on Monday, March 31, 2008. She was a resident of the Plymouth area for the past 30 years.
Winnie was born on October 24, 1927, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of John R. and Lura Mary Deshazo Spellacy.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and from the Oak Cliff School of Business, also in Dallas, Texas.
On July 29, 1977, Winnie and Gene Siddall were married in Big Cabin, Okla.
She worked in the cafeteria at Plymouth High School and at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, for eight years, retiring in 1990.
In February of 1985, Winnie was named Miller’s Employee of the Month.
Winnie is survived by her husband, Gene, and by three daughters and two sons.
Her daughters are Robin Sue Buckman, Wichita, Kan.: Jeanie Dell, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jane Taylor, Dallas, Texas. Her sons are Robert B. Siddall, Chicago, Ill., and Jeff Siddall, Wichita, Kan.
A sister, Mary Katherine Brown, Greenville, Texas, also survives.
Friends are invited to share memories of Winnie with her family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2008, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind.
Funeral services for Winnie will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 400 N. Center St., Plymouth, where she was a long-time member. Father John E. Schramm, pastor of the church, will officiate.
